LPG Shortage Disrupts Food Services at Delhi High Court Lawyers’ Canteen

A shortage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) has disrupted food services at the lawyers’ canteen inside the Delhi High Court, forcing authorities to suspend the preparation of main course meals. The unexpected supply issue has impacted hundreds of lawyers, staff members, and visitors who rely on the canteen for affordable and quick meals during busy court hours.

According to reports, the canteen management recently faced difficulties in securing a sufficient number of LPG cylinders required for daily cooking operations. Due to this shortage, the kitchen has been unable to prepare regular lunch items such as rice, dal, and other cooked dishes. As a temporary measure, the canteen has limited its offerings to snacks, packaged foods, and beverages that do not require extensive cooking.

The canteen plays an important role in supporting the legal community at the court complex, serving a large number of advocates and employees every day. With the suspension of main course meals, many regular visitors have been forced to look for food options outside the court premises, leading to inconvenience during working hours.

Officials associated with the canteen management have reportedly raised the issue with the concerned LPG suppliers and authorities. They are hoping that the supply problem will be resolved quickly so that normal food services can resume without further disruption.

The situation highlights how even small disruptions in essential fuel supply can affect daily operations in major institutions. While temporary arrangements are being made, the legal fraternity at the Delhi High Court hopes that the issue will be resolved soon to restore full canteen services.

"The decisions we make today will shape the world for generations to come."
