Real estate major DLF Limited has appointed Nimit Porwal as Vice President, with his new role focused on driving the growth and development of the company’s DLF5 business in Gurugram. The appointment strengthens DLF’s leadership team as the company continues to focus on premium residential, luxury housing and retail real estate.
In his new position, Porwal will be responsible for business strategy, product development, project execution and profit-and-loss (P&L) management across DLF5’s luxury residential and retail portfolio.
Nimit Porwal Returns to DLF
Porwal’s appointment marks his return to DLF. Before rejoining the company, he served as Strategy and P&L Lead – Indore at Godrej Properties, where he was involved in the company’s entry into the Indore market, including land acquisition, project planning, launches, sales and marketing operations.
He had earlier spent nearly two years at DLF as Cluster Business Head, where he worked on business strategy, product management and P&L operations for the DLF5 super-luxury portfolio.
During his previous tenure, Porwal was involved in the conceptualisation and launch of The Dahlias, a luxury residential project in DLF5 that generated reported topline revenue of more than ₹30,000 crore. He also contributed to DLF5 master-planning initiatives and development strategies involving projects such as The Grove and Summit Plaza.
More Than 14 Years of Real Estate Experience
Porwal brings more than 14 years of experience across real estate development, strategy, P&L management, asset management, investment risk, project controls and consulting.
Before his latest role at DLF, his professional experience included positions at Godrej Properties, CBRE India, Piramal Capital & Housing Finance and KPMG India, along with project-control experience in Qatar.
His return comes as DLF continues to expand its focus on premium and luxury real estate in Gurugram. The DLF5 portfolio includes high-end residential developments as well as retail and mixed-use assets, making the business an important part of the company’s premium real estate strategy.
Focus on DLF5 and Luxury Real Estate
With Porwal taking charge of the new mandate, the company’s focus will include strengthening DLF5’s business performance, developing products and supporting the execution and growth of its luxury residential and retail portfolio.
The appointment also brings back an executive who has previously worked on some of DLF5’s major development initiatives, including The Dahlias. His experience across development, investment and business strategy is expected to be relevant to the company’s ongoing portfolio expansion in Gurugram.
The leadership move highlights the continued importance of premium housing, luxury developments and retail-led real estate in India’s evolving property market.
"The decisions we make today will shape the world for generations to come."
