New Delhi, January 24, 2026 – UltraTech Cement, India’s largest cement manufacturer, reported a remarkable 32% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit for the third quarter of FY26, reaching ₹1,792 crore (excluding exceptional items). The growth underscores the company’s ability to capitalize on rising demand while maintaining operational efficiency.
Financial Performance Highlights
Revenue from operations surged to ₹21,506 crore, up 22.5% from ₹17,555 crore in the same quarter last year.
EBITDA climbed to ₹4,051 crore, reflecting a 29% increase YoY, driven by higher sales volumes and cost-effective operations.
Operating EBITDA per tonne improved to around ₹1,051, highlighting enhanced cost control and pricing power.
The company’s profit figures exclude a one-time expense of ₹88 crore related to new labor code provisions, which if accounted for, would bring the net profit to approximately ₹1,725 crore.
Operational Strength and Volume Growth
UltraTech Cement witnessed strong demand across domestic markets:
Total cement shipments rose to 38.87 million tonnes, a 15% increase YoY.
Domestic grey cement volumes grew by 15.4% to 36.37 million tonnes.
Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) volumes expanded to 3.96 million cubic meters, marking a 25% growth.
The company reported a capacity utilization of 77%, demonstrating higher plant efficiency compared to previous quarters.
Strategic Expansion and Sustainability
UltraTech Cement has continued to strengthen its capacity base:
Newly commissioned brownfield expansions added 0.6 mtpa at Dhule (Maharashtra) and 1.2 mtpa at Nathdwara (Rajasthan).
Total domestic grey cement capacity now stands at 188.66 mtpa, with global capacity reaching 194.06 mtpa.
The company has an expansion pipeline of 22.8 mtpa, aimed at meeting growing infrastructure and housing demand.
Sustainability initiatives also played a key role, with the company increasing its green power mix by 34% YoY, reducing dependency on fossil fuels and improving long-term cost efficiency.
